What is journaling?
Journaling is the practice of regularly writing down thoughts, experiences, reflections and ideas in a personal notebook or digital document. This could be every day, once a week, or however often you can find a quiet moment to put pen to paper. To get started, all you need is a journal and a pen!
Why is journaling important?
Journaling serves as a powerful took for self-expression and self-discovery, allowing you to process your emotions, set goals and reflect on your daily lives. Whether you use your journal to provide a record of your journey, spark creativity or manage stress, it is a versatile practice that can be tailored to various needs. Consistent journaling can lead to improved mental wellbeing, greater self-awareness and a deeper sense of gratitude. Plus, sometimes it’s nice to spend time with your own mind thinking positively and reminiscing on optimistic scenarios.
What are journal prompts?
Journal prompts pretty much do what they say on the tin. They are a question or statement that inspires you to reflect on something and record it, prompting you to make an entry in your journal. It’s up to you how you respond to each prompt; you can write, add photos, draw or a mixture of mediums, whatever feels right for you.
